Love Ripples
We’re getting married! And while we love a good blender as much as the next couple, we’d rather use this moment to do something that really matters to us.
So…instead of a traditional registry, we’re inviting you to help us raise $6,625 for a healthcare organization in Nepal in honor of our wedding date (06/06/25), because we want to spread the love back to some of the people who have taken the best care of us, and thousands of others, across the world.
Why This Matters to Us
Life in Nepal is tough, and most people don’t have regular access to healthcare. Without projects like this, many walk hours just to see a doctor or simply have no access to medical care. On top of that, stable jobs are hard to come by, and a lot of Nepalis have to leave the country to work under brutal conditions just to support their families. Acupuncture Relief Project (the org Bex works for) doesn’t just provide medical care. We also ensure that the people doing this work have fair wages and a way to stay in their communities.
Why Nepal?
Nepal isn’t just a place we love, it’s home to an entire family of ours. Over the years, this community has welcomed Bex, fed her, taken care of her and, in November of 2024, they married us. Most of our family members in Nepal work for the Acupuncture Relief Project (ARP), an organization that provides free healthcare to thousands of people in rural Nepal while also ensuring our Nepali family has stable, living-wage jobs.
Wait, you got married in Nepal?
We sure did! Last year, we eloped at the Bajrabarahi Temple (with the help of our Nepali family, of course). It was spontaneous, perfect, and came with a wonderful amount of marigolds, a beautiful praying mantis and one of the best flower girls in the world. (That last one would be Bex’s beautiful god-daughter, Aavya).
Thanks for being part of this, and for being part of our lives. We love you so much!
